Easy Summer coolents

Aam Panna : Aam Panna as the name suggests is made from unripe mangoes. The health benefits of Aam Panna is immense as the drink has cardamom powder, black pepper along with the raw mangoes. The drink helps incase of sunstrokes.

Shikanji : Shikanji or Lemon juice is extremely refreshing. One can add a variety of herbs and make it yummier and healthier. Herbs that can be added are mint, ginger, black salt, cumin powder etc.

Ganne Ka Ras : Sugarcane juice is another summer cooler that is not just healthy but very delicious as well. The high concentration of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and manganese makes sugarcane juice alkaline in nature and works as an anti-oxidant for the human body.

Top 5 Summer activities

Local library: Look for a library in the vicinity and join one. Joining a library helps kids read books of multiple genres. Libraries are economical and saves a lot of storage space in comparison to buying books.

Family Picnic: Nothings beats a good old family picnic set up in a public park. Pune has lots of open spaces. So look for a public park nearby and enjoy a nice little picnic with family and friends. If you are feeling adventurous then travel to a waterbody and set up the picnic under a shady tree and enjoy the summer breeze.

Outdoor activities: Summers and outdoor activities are a winning combination. Get your child to join any sport of their interest. Playing and participating in sports not only makes children utilise their time productively but also helps develop a sense of discipline in them.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj stayed here for several years until he captured his first fort.
